O’Neill and Associates is committed to meeting your business’ staffing needs in a timely and efficient manner. We offer creative ideas to assist you with incorporating diversity and innovation into your hiring strategies.

A variety of specialized business services are available to assist with recruitment, training, and retention for employing workers with developmental disabilities. These services, often referred to as Supported Employment, are funded by the County and State so there is no cost to you.

Many companies want to include people with developmental disabilities in their Workforce but don’t know how- or the best way. O’Neill and Associates assists companies with development of Human Resource programs that support recruitment and hiring of these valuable workers whether the goal is to include one individual or many. O’Neill and Associates also consults with companies that already employ employees with disabilities.

We assist Hiring Managers and Human Resource professionals with:

  • Evaluation and promotion of their staffing needs and diversity goals

  • Identifying positions and tasks within the company that would be a good match for an individual with disabilities

  • Analyzing and tailoring jobs to best reflect the skills and assets of your employees. This can allow you to place new workers where they are most needed and to maximize the performance of all employees

  • Analyzing positions, including the tasks and essential functions

  • Writing or assisting with editing the job description (qualifications) and announcement adapted for targeting individuals with disabilities

  • Countywide recruitment and initial candidate screening

  • Disability and diversity awareness and training

  • Coworker and supervisor training

  • Precision training plans for the new employees

  • Partnership and connection with qualified training and support organizations

If your company is interested in a long-term hiring commitment, we can assist with the recruitment and funding of a trainer/support person who will work exclusively with your company to support the employees with disabilities. We invite you to contact us for further information.
