Support to Employers

O’Neill and Associates has extensive experience in assisting both private and public sector employers to hire individuals with developmental disabilities. Beginning with an initial consultation to determine the unique needs and opportunities of each potential employer, O’Neill and Associates’ staff will present a customized plan to support the employer through the hiring process and beyond.

Components of this plan often include:

• Detailed analysis of potential job opportunities, including job tasks and
  volume of work

• Assistance with modifying job descriptions as needed

• Recruitment and initial screening of qualified job candidates

• Assistance with the interview process

• Connecting with employment support agencies

• Individualized training for co-workers and supervisors

• Ongoing consultation as requested in areas of workplace accommodations, job performance and co-worker support
